Rewrite tells the story of a relationship undefined by space and time; starring Maxime Bouttier and Audi Marissa, directed by Fajar Nugros

Jakarta, May 15, 2019 – Today, leading entertainment streaming service Viu presents the premiere of another exciting Viu Original series, REWRITE on the holy occasion of Ramadan.

The story of REWRITE is all about second chances in life. It begins with Senja (Audi Marissa) and Abi (Maxime Bouttier) a couple, busy preparing for their wedding in 2024. A series of events in both their individuals lives leads to an emotional turmoil. While Senja is dealing with death and bankruptcy, Abi is questioning the institution of marriage following his parents divorce. Abi decides to become a runaway groom and Senja throws away her wedding ring and wishes for a chance to return to a time before she ever knew Abi. The universe grants her wish and sends Abi and Senja back to the year 2019! What will happen when they find themselves back in the past?

The series serves as young director Fajar Nugros’ first foray into premium series. “Making a series for a digital platform with a theme like this is completely new to me and certainly a challenge I was keen to undertake. A first for the streaming platform in Indonesia, Viu will launch all episodes of REWRITE simultaneously, each episode will be 45 minutes, giving audiences the opportunity to enjoy the entire series immediately and exclusively, on Viu starting 15 May 2019.
