A Chartered Accountant by profession Vinayak has held senior positions with large organisations like Maersk Line, Reliance Entertainment and Yahoo

Varun Mehta

Country Manager - Viu Indonesia

Varun is the Country Head for Viu in Indonesia. Viu has firmly entrenched itself as the dominant OTT platform for Asian entertainment and Varun leads Indonesia with a vision of making Viu the home for high quality content creators and high quality content consumers. He is passionately involved in the creation of the best Indonesian series and movies collaborating with the top directors and production houses in Indonesia. Over the last 18 years, he has successfully set up consumer businesses in APAC and SAARC markets for video products and services, and has been a speaker & panelist at various D2C conferences across Asia.

Lavina Tauro

Head Corporate Marketing Vuclip & Country Manager - Viu Myanmar

Lavina Tauro is the Head of Corporate Marketing at Vuclip and also Country Manager for Viu Myanmar. She is a dedicated business professional with 18 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry. Her experience ranges in roles across content, creative, programming, product syndication, marketing and business management. She is a core member in leading, building and setting up an OTT business from scratch in Myanmar for Viu which is a part of the Hong Kong based PCCW Media Group and Vuclip.

Kingsley Warner

General Manager - Viu Malaysia

His role is to oversee the overall operations and strategic direction of Viu brand, driving consumer adoption, engagement and commercialisation through various strategic partnership, marketing channels and advertisers. Prior to joining Viu, he previously worked under Fox Sports as a Commercial Head Digital and other senior Newscorp roles at News Digital Media and Foxtel in Sydney, Australia before moving onto working in Malaysia as a media executive with the Astro Malaysia Group.

Satheesh Kumar

Chief Product Officer

Satheesh leads and manages Vuclip’s product strategy and operations. With over 22 years of experience working with both ISV and OPD companies, he brings with him hands-on operational expertise and the creativity, vision, and out-of-the-box thought process needed for Vuclip’s continued expansion and innovation. Previously Satheesh was with Symphony Teleca Corp., a global software services company where he played several roles such as SVP Global Solutions & Support, CTO, COO, and GM of Analytics Division for more than 12 years from inception to its eventual acquisition by Harman International. Prior to Symphony Teleca, he worked in top tech companies such as i2 Technologies, Aspect Development, Accordia, and IBM. Satheesh holds a Masters in Computer Science from Cochin University of Science and Technology and is based in San Francisco, California.

Justin Roseworn

Senior Manager Operations

Based in Kuala Lumpur I've been part of the Vuclip family for almost 2 years. I was here before we had an office in Malaysia, in fact my first task from Kingsley was to find that office space and get it set up! Coordinating subtitles and content delivery from SEA partners, including PCCW is my core tasks but as is the environment in Vuclip I spend a lot of time in discussion with engineers in the US and Indian offices discussing ways to improve or adapt workflows and improve quality of our services. This is what I love about Vuclip, we are truly a global company, we are from all corners of the world with diverse skills and even more diverse backgrounds who come together to focus on a shared goal.

I have been with the Malaysia team working on Vuclip’s OTT brand ‘viu’ for the past one and a half years. I was fortunate to be on the team that fought and endured hell high-water to launch the service in a short 5 months. The fact that we were also the first of the Vuclip markets to launch Viu, all our pioneering efforts were quickly shared, duplicated and improved upon with other markets that subsequently launched in quick succession. Vuclip has personally been a big learning curve for me and the best thing about that is management – it is progressively thinking, is data-driven, is boldly decisive and most important of all, is willing to empower its employees to tread the same paths.

Abe Shady Aboul Naga

General Manager, Middle East

Naga, who comes with over 17 years of experience in broadcasting, as well as digital and online content, is responsible for the growth strategy of Viu, the leading OTT service by Vuclip and PCCW Media, in the Middle East. In his role, Abe will oversee Viu’s operations as well as implement expansion plans across the region. Before joining Viu, Abe was the Director of Digital at MBC group, the leading free-to-air broadcaster in the Middle East and North Africa. During his 10 year at MBC he was responsible for driving the groups digital content & business strategy resulting in numerous product roll outs, most notably SHAHID the first over the top premium VoD service in the MENA region and more recently GOBOZ the first kids-only VoD service. He started his career in the Egyptian digital media & advertising space at Connect-Ads and later moved to its parent company LINKdotNET holdings. Abe holds a MSc. in Information Technology focused on Human Computer Interaction (HCI) from the University of Nottingham.

Arun Prakash

Arun spearheads Vuclip’s forward-thinking strategy development, keeping the company on the leading edge. He manages all aspects of Vuclip’s consumer interactions, and has a wealth of technology and marketing expertise under his belt. Arun is known for his work at YouSendIt - the leading online file-sharing service - where he pioneered a freemium business model that delivered outstanding financial success and user growth. He has also held leadership positions at Ketera Technologies and Aspect Development, Inc., and is the founder and CEO of Spozzle, an online community for U.S. high school sports. Arun holds both a Masters in Computer Applications and Bachelors in Computer Science from Bharathidasan University.

Salman Hussain

Chief Revenue Officer

Salman heads up Vuclip’s business strategies for the Middle East and Asia-Pacific regions, continuing the company’s international growth and expansion in emerging markets. He holds a B.S. from Aligarh Muslim University, and brings over 17 years of experience in the mobile media space to Vuclip. He has previously worked for Verisign, Al Ebda IT, and Electronics for Imaging.
