Jakarta: Viu announced the premiere of its latest Indonesian Original Series SUNSHINE, a romantic drama that talks about the choices we make in life leading to true love. The story is unique take on the love life & choices that one makes and is a beautiful story that will be enjoyed by Indonesian audience. The series casts famous & leading Indonesian movie stars can be viewed and enjoyed by Viuers starting today!

SUNSHINE is a romantic drama directed by Alyandra Pandjipoera, Langit (Dion Wiyoko), an executive at an advertising agency, and his past romantic encounters with four amazing women: Matahari (Laura Basuki), Bumi (Sheila Dara), Bintang (Rianti Cartwright), and Bulan (Jill Gladys). One of these women would become Langit’s true love and his son’s mother.

“SUNSHINE was produced like a motion picture, using film techniques and method, starting from its pre-production, production, until post-production process. And, with five main actors, the making of SUNSHINE, my first full-length series, an exceptional experience for myself and the whole cast & we are proud to be associated with Viu to get this series out to the Indonesian audience,” said Alyandra Pandjipoera.

Dion Wiyoko, the actor in the role of Langit commented when asked about his participation in the series, “SUNSHINE is different from any other films or series that I’ve played. My character, called Langit, is confronted by four different female characters and he treats each of them with a different emotional approach. This makes SUNSHINE very interesting.”

Sharing Dion’s enthusiasm, Laura Basuki, who plays the role of Matahari, adds, “SUNSHINE is different from other productions. Being part of this drama for Viu is a new experience for me, where I can better express my creativity, explore my character together with the director and other actors, and even give input to enhance the scene or story. It means a lot for an actress like me.”
